Lonerider Brewery Tour

Took the tour a few weeks ago. Smaller, more intimate type tour. Free beers to taste. It was good to be able to see a smaller brewery in action. Good beers too. Susanne is particularly fond of Shotgun Betty, a wheat beer.

They opened in January I think. Have been there a few times to get growlers. You can stop by from 2-6 any afternoon for a growler fillup.

They have tours every other week. Some friday nights, some Saturdays. (alternating so more folks can come, I suppose)

You can find their beers on tap around town.

I like the brown ale they had at the brewery, though it will not be put into full production.

Some lucky guy entered their "brew it forward" contest. The brewery requested homebrewers to send in a sample of their beers. They judged it and the winner gets his beer brewed at Lonerider. The profit from his beer will be split between the Winner, NC Brewers Guild, and other charities. It's a pilsner...check it out here: http://lonerider.me/?p=10

Give it a try.
