Tomorrow is brew day - Today's preparations

Since tomorrow is brew day, I had to get some things from my local brew shop.

I got the extract kit for the Hefeweizen.

The Kit includes:

6.6 pounds of Wheat Malt Extract

Steeping grains: Wheat Malt 6oz., Crystal 40 L Malt 6oz

1.5 oz of bittering hops

Safbrew WB-06 yeast

Priming sugar

A muslin bag

bottle caps

I also purchase StarSan sanitizer and a brew spoon.

A brewpot was acquired from Walmart. 22 quarts with a triple layer bottom. It will help keep from scorching the wort. I found this to be a better deal than the pots at the brew store.

I am borrowing the rest from a friend and will get the rest of that equipment tonight. Hopefully that will provide everything else I need.
