So I put the Amber ale into the fermenter. I came up way short of the OG projection. Projected at 1.050. Mine ended up at 1.044. That was even after a boost.
I know why, but we'll just have to see how it turns out. I couldn't get a blasting boil going. It was boiling, but mildly. I think for this one, it was necessary to keep it on the edge of boilover to get the OG where it belonged.
I boosted the wort with 3/4 cup corn sugar. We'll let it ferment and see where it ends up.
